Charlotte and I were turned away at the border of Kazakhstan. We unknowlingly were given the wrong visa, probably because we didn't give a big enough bribe to the visa guy. Instead of visiting the Church branch in Alma-Ata, we decided to head out to Issyk-Kul Lake ... and we are glad we did.
