We love being so close to family out here.
On Friday, after Jonah's last day at Property Solutions, some of our very kind friends helped us pack our things, load up the truck, and clean our apartment. Sam and I flew to Portland, and Jonah and his dad drove a small UHAUL with out car trailing behind. The brakes had serious problems as they descended the Blue Mountains, and they looked at each Runaway Truck ramp with trepidation. But they made it safely!
We are currently living in the gorgeous, furnished apartment surrounded with trees and roses that Jonah's family doctor owns. Jonah is working on the campaigns for his mother who is up for reelection as a public utilities district comissioner and for a long-time family friend, Paul Harris, who is running for State Legislature. He won by a landslide in the primary election, so *when* we wins in Novemeber, we'll head up to Olympia and Jonah will be his legislative aide! Jonah LOVES politics, so this is a fabulous opportunity for him.
I am loving being out of the heat, but Sam is not loving having to wear more clothes. Poor dude. But it is cold here. I will put up more photos of our apartment once all the boxes are gone. For now, I hope you enjoyed more photos of Sam.
Yea! I'm glad you guys made it to Washington safely! I'm so jealous that you are living so close to Portland! Good luck with everything!
