Samuel Turns 2 and Daniel smiles

SAMUEL THE TWO-YEAR-OLD! I made him a cake with a backhoe and a dump truck on it, and we gave him a fork and let him have fun. As expected, he pretended the fork was a digger and demolished the cake. (see a few photos down for the undemolished cake. Sorry, these photos are all out of order))
He took a few bites here and there.
You don't realize how big these buckets are until you climb inside!
These loaders are huge!
Best birthday ever! They just brought three HUGE diggers in to demolish an old building to make way for the new Life Sciences building. YAY for another construction site to watch!
His 2nd birthday cake with, of course, a backhoe and a dump truck on it.
For Christmas, I am making a book of pictures of Samuel with trucks. I've got about 100 now, and this is one of my favorites. They are building new dorms on BYU campus, so there are always tons of trucks to watch.
His favorite toy in the quad - the BARBIE JEEP! He talks about it all the time. Lately, it's the first thing he says when he wakes up from his nap. In this picture, he is patting the passenger seat and saying, "Baby da broom broom" because he wants me to put Daniel in the car and push them both around.
Excited to open his birthday presents at breakfast.
Whenever we eat, Daniel crawls under the chairs and explores under the table and eats our toes. He LOVES crawling under the chairs, even though he bonks his head every time.
Using his new books as a road for his cement mixer (greatest dollar store find ever!)
What do you do when the sandbox is wet and full of leaves and it's snowing outside? Play with beans! This entertains him for hours!
Getting ready to go outside. It's quite the routine getting all their warm clothes on. But it's worth it.
Not too sure what to think about his first taste of baby food...
By the end of the meal, he decided it was delicious!
Playing with the guitar while Daddy plays the guitar.
Ready for hockey.
Look at those blue eyes!!!!!
Posing in the rocking chair. Only got one good photo before the usual wrestling match began.
One of TWO Halloween snowglobes (or "bat-globes") we got for our wedding. The boys loved watching the bats fly around. I am so crazy about this guy. Look at that smile!!!
I know he's thinking, "If I just smile cutely enough, she won't be able to resist my plea to go play outside in the snow."
