Miracle #1 We survived the wettest winter that Washingtonians ever remember. Charlotte took cover in the apartment-turned-playground with Samuel, and Jonah took cover in the legislative offices of the state capitol.
Miracle #2 Daniel Richards Barnes was almost born in the car, but managed to wait a few minutes until after we arrived at the hospital. He hasn’t slowed down or held still since that speedy arrival.
Miracle #3 Jonah was accepted into BYU’s Marriot School of Management in the supply chain track and he loves it! Operations management has taken over his mind: he comments on how processes can be improved at every store and restaurant we visit.
Miracle #4 Without even seeing it first, we signed for (what has become) the perfect apartment in Provo with a huge lawn, a playground, tons of kids, great moms, incredible views of the mountains, and a construction site nearby to visit daily.
Miracle #5 Samuel (age 2) has not been crushed by falling beams or rocks at all the construction sites that we visit. The workers let him get close and even let him sit in the cabs of the trucks! More than half of his entire vocabulary is words about trucks.
Miracle #6 Honeywell offered Jonah an internship as a materials planner in their Aerospace division in Tempe, Arizona next summer. (We’ll need another miracle to survive the heat!)
Miracle #7 Daniel (now 8 months old) is still alive after all the tackles, pushes, shoves, bites, and squashes from his older brother. He has become one tough cookie. Right when he turned 6 months, he sat up, crawled, and pulled himself up to standing. We think it’s because he knows it’s the only way to survive Samuel’s “fun and games”.
These are the best pics from our family photo shoot (also for the Christmas cards I didn't send)
