The sign says “Bars” which means cougar. On Jonah’s mission, people could not pronounce “Barnes”, so they called him “Bars” and joked that he was a cougar.
Jonah and I made pizza with the traditional Kyrgyz lapyoshka bread, pizza sauce, and sausage. We thought it would be nasty, but it was fabulous!!!!
There are Happy New Year signs and decorations everywhere. There are three New Years celebrations here, extending all the way into March! I love that the snowman has a traditional Kyrgyz hat on. Notice the long line of mini buses, the most convenient mode of transportation.
